We have arrived! Jordan practiced in the morning at Cottonwood (rink in Utah)...we
dragged Missy along since she was driving us to the airport. We woke up very early!!! The
flight was long but Jordan stayed busy and finally took a nap when we were ready to
land. When we arrived, the airport had a light board welcoming the Jr. Nationals skaters.
The rink and hotel is very close and we settled in quite smoothly. Banners are everywhere
about Jr. Nationals. All the light boards and welcome signs mention Jr. Nationals in the
town. The rink is nice with plenty of room. It even has a bar inside the rink...hopefully
they serve virgin margarita's! Great vendors and I am sure we will spend a lot of money on
new dresses and clothing with Jr. National logos. We didn't take pictures today because it
was a little hectic. Jordan skated this evening and looked great. She was very relaxed and
calm. She landed her jumps and stayed very focused and in control. One friend describes
Jordan as a shark on the ice...Jordan often remembers that comment and she made sure
people knew she was in control. We are all very tired and plan to sleep in. She has her
draw party tomorrow at 10:00 (the skaters attend a fun party to pick what order they will
skate), practices at 12:30 and 5:30. It's fun to visit with skaters from all over the country. For
now, she is sound asleep and we look forward to tomorrow's adventures. We promise to
take pictures!
